The demands of life these days are sometimes so heavy we just power through each day, dragging our main vehicle and tool (our physical body) along for the proverbial ride.
We do maintenance on our car and our house, keep records of what’s been done and what needs to be done. But when it comes to our body and its health and maintenance, do we do regular health maintenance programs and keep a file folder with symptoms and histories of analysis, remedies and modalities that we believe in and have worked for us? Or do we wait for a bothersome symptom to persist until we need to suppress it, so we can get on with our “more important responsibilities?” Wait a minute, we would not do that with our car!
Take a minute and consider a recurring symptom you have and look at it as an opportunity or warning sigh alerting you to a possible need for maintenance or cleansing of specific organs, systems and glands of your body.
Doing some research into alternative health care modalities, such as: naturopathy, chiropractic, homeopathy and acupuncture could dead you to health improvement, plus symptom reduction, with little or no negative side effects. Systems such as the urinary tract, digestive tract and blood should be addressed two or three times a year, with cleansing and building programs, just as you change the oil and tune-up your car.
There are appropriate times and places to hand-over the responsibility for your body, health and life to professional for your best care. There are also times and places for you to realize your own responsibility to create the level of health your prefer. Self-responsible directed health care to keep “vehicle” running smoothly.
